One of the big milestones for a baby is rolling from their back over to their front. Typically they hit that milestone around 5-6 months. Somewhere around that time Evie did it once and I think it was an accidental turn over rather than an on purpose turn over ( Read more... )

Evie's top molars have been coming in for a few weeks now. She did really well with them (as she has with all the teeth that have come in so far), up until Friday. On Friday she got really feverish and completely clingy and cranky. This was Evie's first time coming down with a fever from teething (happens to a lot of babies). Evie turned 10 months yesterday. What has happened since my 6 month update?

When Evie smiles at people, people smile back at her - so I'm sure she has come to expect that response. Today she smiled at the cat - a real big genuine "Hi!!" sort of smile. After several seconds had passed, she got this confused look on her face. I really believe she was wondering why the cat didn't smile back at her.

Evie has never been a real cuddle baby. The most I ever got was when she was a newborn she would wrap her body around my waist while nursing. But that eventually disappeared and I really miss that little bit of snuggle that I used to get from her ( Read more... )
